Alles Klima?
Kaum entspannt sich die Lage auf dem deutschen Arbeitsmarkt ein wenig, ist schon ein neues Lieblingssorgenkind für Politik und Presse gefunden: Der Klimawandel. Obwohl der “Jahrhundertsommer” 2006 und der sehr milde Winter eine Diskussion herbeigebracht hat, die mich als passionierten Einfach-nur-so-durch-die-Landschaft-Fahrer jetzt vermutlich in einem etwas schlechteren Licht dastehen lässt, begrüße ich doch, dass die globale Erderwärmung etwas mehr ins allgemeine Interesse gerutscht ist. Klimaschutz ist wichtig.
Ob ich jedoch jemals der Empfehlung einer namhaften deutschen Politikerin folgen könnte und mir ein japanisches Hybridauto kaufen würde, darf bezweifelt werden. Würde mir dagegen jemand einen Lamborghini Murciélago hinstellen, würde ich vermutlich solange Unmengen an CO2 emittieren bis alle Erdölreserven dieser Welt aufgebraucht wären. Mit einem schlechten Gewissen wie von einem Hund, der seinem Herrchen zum wiederholten Mal die Pantoffeln zerbissen hat…
Der deutsche Autofahrer weiß schon länger, dass es hierzulande wärmer wird. Hat er doch schon vor Jahren angefangen, Autos mit Klimaanlagen zu kaufen, um für den Klimawandel im eigenen Personenkraftwagen gerüstet zu sein. Zugegeben, verstanden hatte ich es bisher nicht. Ich mag Klimaanlagen einfach nicht. Die kühle (Zug)luft, die sie zuweilen spenden, sorgt für unangenehm trockene Schleimhäute in Mund und Nase und Erkältungen, wenn man sich verschwitzt ins Auto setzt. Noch dazu fährt man die meiste Zeit unnötigen Ballast durch die Gegend und der Betrieb des Klimakompressors kostet auch noch Leistung. Das erhöht natürlich den Kraftstoffverbrauch und damit den CO2-Ausstoß (bis zu 11% übrigens). Wobei wir wieder beim Klimaschutz wären.
Und weil Kraftfahrzeuge mit Verbrennungsmotoren mein Laster sind, würde ich - wie ein Adipöser, der zu Hamburger und Pommes Cola light trinkt - auch einen Porsche GT3 RS ohne Klimaanlage kaufen.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
